Our Technician Staff
Josh is originally from San Diego, CA but has been living in Texas for many years. He has 20 + years of experience in Emergency Critical and Specialty care. Josh joined I-20 Animal Hospital in July 2014. With his phenomenal amount of knowledge that he has worked so diligently to obtain over the years, he has been a great addition to our hospital staff and tends to be our fellow technicians go-to guy with questions. Josh has 5 dogs and 2 cats of his own and enjoys spending time with his wife Kim.
Krista was added to our ever growing team in September, 2015. She is originally from Midland, TX. She is a very intelligent and bright individual who is currently attending Tarleton State University working on her pre-vet studies. She is looking to gain experience at our facility until it is time for her to go off on her big adventures to veterinary school. In her free time she utilizes her husbandry skills and shows a variety of livestock.
Anthony joined our I-20 Animal Hospital in April 2017. Anthony grew up in Elsa, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School, and has four years of experience working with emergency and critical care animals.
Anthony has four dogs; an English Bulldog, a French Bulldog, and two Great Danes. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, Anthony has been around and loved animals all his life. Anthony also enjoys volleyball and workouts.
Kirsten joined us in October 2019. This is her first time in the animal field after redirecting her career from being a respiratory therapist. In Kirsten’s free time she loves being with friends, family and her two cats named Billy & Charlie.

Michael Trevino- Tech Lead
Michael joined our team at I-20 Animal Hospital in December, 2019. Originally from San Isidro, Texas, Michael attended classes at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School (UTRGV).
Michael has worked in emergency and critical care for several years. Part of Michael’s technician experience was in the Valley where the only veterinarian emergency clinic was 3 hours away.
Michael is loved by his Great Dane, Dawn, Enzo a domestic shorthair, and a French Bulldog named Stitch. In his spare time, Michael plays volleyball at an open gym or competes in volleyball tournaments. If there isn’t a game, you will find Michael chillaxing with his beloved dogs.
Conny Riedel, CVA
Conny joined our team in January 2020. Conny was originally from Germany and moved to the US in 2003. Upon moving here she started working in the Veterinary field immediately and received her Certified Veterinary Assistant certification in 2009. Her experience includes client service, mixed small animal and equine emergency medicine. Conny has a soft spot for horses and breeds Appaloosa horses in her spare time.
Shay joined our hospital staff in June 2020. Prior to joining our clinic, Shay gained several years of experience working at other clinical, surgical, and emergency practices. When Shay is not helping save animals at work, she is spending time with her son and three fur-babies, cooking, playing tennis, basketball, baseball and going to the batting and gun rage.
Kim joined us in April 2021. Kim is from Jacksboro, Texas. This is her first time in the animal field after redirecting her career from being a licensed vocational nurse for 13 years. In Kim’s free time she loves being with her 4 amazing children and her 2 fur babies as well.
Abby graced us with her presents in April 2021, she is originally from Granbury, TX. Abby attended Tarleton after high school, she is taking a break from college but is planning to return. Abby came to us with 4+ years’ experience from working in a general practice. Abby loves to sing, dance and watch movies. She also loves spending time with her family and her dog Houston.
Teresa joined I-20 Animal Hospital in May 2021. Teresa is from Weatherford, Texas. She is currently attending Weatherford College and is gaining more knowledge everyday working with emergency and critical care animals. Teresa has four children named Logan, Wyatt, Samantha, and Brendan. Teresa also has 3 cats named Nermal, Atticus, and Biggie Smalls. She enjoys hiking, traveling, garage sales, swimming, and spending time with her kids.
Katelynn joined our team in June 2021. Katelynn was born in Texas however, she has lived in Rhode Island, Illinois, Washington, and Virginia. Katelynn has her bachelor’s in marine biology and is now attending Weatherford College in the Veterinary Technician Program. She is new to the field but has a lot of volunteer experience. When Katelynn was a highschooler in Weatherford she was a Blue Belle, Go Roos! Katelynn loves being outdoors! Her favorite season is summer, at that time she is mostly at the lake wake surfing. She is an avid biker, participating in past Peach Pedal and Ragbrai. Katelynn also loves spending time with her partner Kyle and their dog Jackson.
Samantha joined our team in July 2021. Samantha is from Breckenridge, Texas. Samantha decided to leave the human medical side with over 4 years’ experience and join the animal medical side. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family. Samantha is married with 2 children, two dogs, and 2 cats.
Jennifer was added to our ever-growing team in July 2021. She is from Poolville, TX. Jennifer attended Tarleton obtaining her EC–6 /Core Subjects with Bilingual Supplemental certification. Jennifer is now attending Weatherford College to become a licensed veterinary technician. Jennifer is eager to learn and gives 100%. Jennifer has 2 teenage boys; she loves living on the farm with her family.
Amanda joined our team in August 2021. Amanda grew up in Texarkana, Texas. She graduated from Fouke High School and is now attending Weatherford College to receive her Associates in Science. In her spare time, she loves outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, fishing, and camping. Her favorite animals are dogs. Amanda has 3 dogs of her own named Trixie, Buster, and Jeb.
